Notable Changes From the Previous Year
There aren’t many changes in the 2023 version, except for a new trim -- the Trailhawk 4xe, which replaces neutral grey exterior accents with gloss black.
Performance Specs
All models in this lineup have the same PHEV hybrid powertrain, which consists of a 400v lithium battery delivering 17kWh. This setup has a range of up to 761 km in the hybrid mode, with combined fuel efficiency of 4.2L/100km. It’s a very capacious powertrain, offering 375hp and 470 lb-ft of torque capacity. There are three driving modes available: hybrid, electric, and e-save. The electric mode relies solely on the electric battery and has zero emissions. The hybrid mode delivers more performance, combining a 2.0-litre turbocharged gas engine with two electric motors. The e-save mode runs on the gas engine only.
Design Elements
Trims from Overland and higher have adjustable interior LED lighting, with five colours to choose from. All seats are incredibly comfortable, using top-notch materials, and are adjustable with massage function. The Summit and Summit Reserve trims have four-zone climate controls, while the other trims come with a dual-zone automatic system.
The exterior design is also striking, with premium LED lighting available, including headlamps, taillamps, and fog lamps. There’s a two-tone gloss black roof available on Overland, and it comes standard on the Summit, Summit Reserve, and Trailhawk trims.
Technology
All trims share the same infotainment system: a Uconnect 5 NAV equipped with GPS, controlled via a 10.1-inch touchscreen display. There’s also a one-year subscription to SiriusXM 360L and capability for WiFi hotspot. The audio system consists of nine amplified speakers with a subwoofer for the 4xe and Trailhawk, and a MacIntosh system with 19 speakers for the other trims.
Safety Features
Standard safety features available for all trims include multistage airbags, adaptive cruise control with Stop & Go, blindspot monitoring, rear camera, and a number of parking assists. The Summit and Summit Reserve trims also have parallel and perpendicular parking assists, along with semi-autonomous safety features. The Overland trim has traffic sign recognition as standard.
